Introduction
Nepal Law and Policy Centre (NLPC) is an organization registered at the Office of the Company Registrar, Government of Nepal, as a non-profit company. It has been established by a group of young and dynamic professionals with the aim of contributing to democratic law/policy making by fostering citizens’ participation in the law/policy making process. Its main objectives are as follows:
- Study, review and discuss bills or laws/policies of Nepal government, and submit recommendations to the concerned bodies;
- Advance citizens’ participation in law and policy drafting process;
- Facilitate initiatives to address stakeholders’, specifically marginalized groups’, voices in the laws and policies; and
- Organize discussions, interactions, workshops and capacity building programmes, and publish documents on the issues of law, justice, human rights and good governance.

Mission
To promote knowledge on rule of law, good governance, human rights and social justice, and advance people’s participation in law and policy making specially by collaborating with affected and concerned citizens.
